It was a very cold start to our second HVGA tournament at Cypresswood Golf Course. All the members were bundle up because the temperature was in the low 40's. Some of the members looked like they are ready to go snowboarding instead of golfing. Even though the weather was cold, we still had a great turnout of 49 members and guests. HVGA really appreciate all of our members' commitment to joining us at our monthly tournament. As the day went along the temperatures went up but the scores went lower.

After the round was over, we had a really nice lunch provided by the course. We would like to thank all the members that donated money on the $5 raffle tickets. We were able to raise money for the club. HVGA wants to congratulate Minh Nguyen for winning the new Nike golf bag and a HVGA towel in the raffle.

For those members who want to improve on their golf game or for those members that are trying out for the Texas Cup roosters, we are holding practice sessions starting next week on Wednesday at 7:30 PM at Richmond Range. Anyone that plans to play in this year Texas Cup, please come out and practice together with the rest of the team. We will do this every week until further notice. Kraig and Alex will be in charge but we ask our top guys to please come out and help our members. If anyone has any questions, please email Kraig or Alex. The short game session will be schedule after they evaluate the players at the range. Come join us at the range.
