HVGA Tournament Rules – 2012
Notice to Players – Local Rules and Conditions of Competition
The Rules of the United States Golf Association govern plays, as modified by HVGA. Unless otherwise noted, the penalty for breach of a Condition or Local Rule for stroke play is two strokes.
If you have any doubts as to a rule, please ask your playing partners. If they do not know, then play an alternate ball under rule 3-3. You will play both balls from the point of doubt and must hole out both balls. At the end of the round, you are required to ask for a ruling from the Rules Committee (See item 10 below). The exact language of the Rules may be found online at usga.org under rules. Apps for iphones and Droids may be available for downloads from the website. Read more.
Eagle Pointe Rescheduled
The previously canceled tournament at Eagle Pointe has been rescheduled for April 22(1:30 shotgun). Please note that this is on a Sunday.
Eagle Pointe – Canceled
Today’s Tournament at Eagle Pointe is officially canceled and will be rescheduled for a later date TBA.
Eagle Pointe – Alert
We’re still on schedule for February tourney at Eagle Pointe noon tomorrow, February 18th. Eagle Pointe G.C. will let us know early tomorrow morning whether we should continue our tournament or not. Stay tuned for latest updates regarding playability on our website, email and Facebook.
Tournament Rescheduled
Due to the wet and unplayable conditions at Eagle Pointe GC and forecast of more rain tomorrow morning, the HVGA Committee has decided to postpone the tournament to Saturday February 18th, Noon Shotgun. Click here to re-register or you can shoot an email to our Tournament Coordinator, Thanh Trinh.

Members Survey
It’s that time of year for the HVGA Committee to meet and discuss successes and challenges in past events to improve on for future events. Before we meet for this purpose, however, we’d like to include all of you in on our brainstorming session.
To that end, we invite you to answer a few questionnaires so we can get an idea of what the club as a whole thinks towards certain topics. Your responses are appreciated and will help to better our club for years to come.
Westfork

9th Annual HVGA Crawfish Boil
All current members and their immediate families or a member and his/her guest are invited to HVGA’s 9th annual crawfish boil Sunday, May 1st, Crawfish and BBQ will be provided along with games and a moonwalk for the children. Please RSVP for this event.
